MINI Cooper: The Technologies

It's difficult to find a car that would be as powerful as Mini Cooper being from the same class although Mini Cooper is an economy car. The engine becomes energetic at 1500 rpm already, the second gear allows doing 95 km/h, and the third one all 125 km/h. The car is very responsive, it reacts to every gas or brake pedal push.

About the braking: at first the travel is short and loose and then the pedal is kind of hampered: it is the effort that determines the deceleration and it's just like with race cars!

The steering wheel is very sharp, only 2.5 revolutions to reach the extreme, which is very convenient on the highway where numerous revolutions are needed. Anyway, it is also all right in the city. However the main the thing is that this little thing can withstand lateral acceleration while simple suspension with flexible rubber components assures acceptable comfort even on rather "worn-out" roads!

However it is that amazing balance of riding qualities that stuns. There will be a moment when you think that the motor is too weak, however this is not true. It actually turns out that the suspension and the motor are perfectly balanced and if you install more capacious engine you'll have to readjust the suspension, and if you do it the smoothness of the running will be different, while Mini boasts of perfect balance for a small car.

You may think that Mini is rather dull, sluggish, and slowly accelerating however this is a fallacy. You are through with that feeling when you are driving Cooper as the car is more of a tomboy: it does 0-100 km/h in 9.8 seconds at 116 hp while the top speed is 193 km.

Above all, Mini Cooper remains a "foppish", posh car for those who simply value good mood as it isn't functional and other characteristics leave much to be desired.

You feel inconvenient when driving behind a truck and the exhaust gets in your saloon along with the sounds as Mini Cooper cannot boast of good noise insulation.

However all of these don't matter if compared with the pleasure you take in driving this car.
